Stakeholder identification and consultation

Please describe which stakeholders (or groups/ types of stakeholders) you have identified, consulted, engaged, collaborated or partnered with for the purpose of implementing the Principles and improving your bank’s impacts. This should include a high-level overview of how your bank has identified relevant stakeholders, what issues were addressed/results achieved and how they fed into the action planning process.

Innovation FCU, as a member-owned co-operative, prioritizes engaging and collaborating with stakeholders to shape its future and community initiatives. The next phase involves integrating the principles of responsible banking into these consultations and establishing a formal process to involve stakeholders in discussions and action plans related to sustainability, as outlined by the PRB.

Currently, stakeholder groups engaged and consulted by Innovation FCU include:

Members: Innovation FCU conducts member research and feedback surveys throughout the year. Its high level of community engagement, giving, and opportunity creation has fostered positive social equity in sustainability efforts.

First Nations Leaders: The executive team and board members have been building relationships with First Nations Leaders and communities to understand their unique challenges, including issues related to remote and northern locations, community needs, perceptions of money, financial education, environmental and cultural preservation, economic growth, and specific claims. Partnerships are being developed with ‘the next seven generations’ in mind.

Third Parties: Innovation FCU collaborates with various organizations to amplify its impact. These include the Gabriel Dumont Institute, Saskatchewan Indigenous Economic Development Network, Indigenous Wealth Financial, First Nations Carbon Summit, AFOA Canada, Saskatchewan Solar Co-Op, and many others.

CCUA: The Canadian Credit Union Association serves as a valuable partner and stakeholder, with multiple working groups focused on sustainability. Through these groups, Innovation FCU shares and learns from other Canadian credit unions’ approaches to sustainability and evolving regulatory requirements.

The next step for Innovation FCU is to intentionally incorporate discussions around its areas of impact and targets with these stakeholder groups.

How does Innovation FCU promote a culture of responsible banking among its employees?

In its 2023-2024 PRB Self-Assessment Report Innovation FCU reports that it took the following actions to promote a culture of responsible banking among its employees:

Innovation FCU’s Code Book is rooted in Responsible Banking. It serves as the primary internal document and philosophy that shape and uphold the organization’s culture. Every employee participates in the ‘Innovation Experience,’ a dedicated in-person training session and workshop focused exclusively on Innovation’s culture, core values, and dedication to responsible banking. In addition to the Innovation Experience, all staff are required to complete the Four Seasons of Reconciliation course, which offers a comprehensive, tailored anti-racist education aligned with the Truth and Reconciliation Commission’s 94 Calls to Action. Innovation FCU has also hosted a series of Indigenous lunch and learn sessions featuring external presenters.

This should include a high-level overview of how your bank has identified relevant stakeholders, what issues were addressed/results achieved and how they fed into the action planning process.

[Communication Channels]

iM Financial Group employs a diverse range of communication channels tailored to the specific characteristics and needs of each stakeholder group. These channels enable the Group to identify key concerns and gather feedback, which are then incorporated into its ESG management strategies.

Customers: Customer satisfaction surveys, Customer Service Center, Customer panels

Employees: Labor-management meetings and councils, Employee satisfaction surveys, Interviews

Shareholders and Investors: General shareholder meetings, Investor Relations (IR) activities, Corporate disclosures

Business Partners: Materiality assessment surveys

Local Communities and NGOs: Operation of the iM Social Contribution Foundation, Disclosure of the iM Bank’s Social Contribution Activity Report

Government, Local Authorities, and Related Institutions: Participation in national projects, attendance at public hearings and councils

[Community Engagement]

iM Financial Group actively promotes various external collaboration initiatives to enhance ESG management within local communities. In February 2025, the Group signed a “Public–Private Partnership Agreement for Carbon-Neutral Green Growth Leadership” during a joint ceremony with the Daegu–Gyeongbuk Regional Headquarters of Korea Land & Housing Corporation (LH).

A total of 16 organizations participating in the Daegu–Gyeongbuk ESG Council—which has been operated by iM Financial Group and LH since 2022—joined the agreement. This group includes 10 public institutions, 5 private companies, and 1 university.

The main goal of the partnership is to promote employee engagement in the three core areas of the Carbon Neutral Points System: energy, transportation, and green lifestyle practices.

Furthermore, through collaboration with participating organizations, iM Financial Group aims to undertake a variety of initiatives supporting carbon neutrality. These include information sharing and training programs, the production and use of eco-friendly energy at business locations, joint campaigns, the expansion of green finance, and the monitoring and management of greenhouse gas emissions.

How did iM Financial Group identify and work on strategic business opportunities to increase positive and reduce negative impacts?

In its 2025 PRB Responsible Banking Progress Statement iM Financial Group reports that it identified and worked on strategic business opportunities to increase positive and reduce negative impacts as follows:

As of the end of 2024, iM Financial Group’s ESG-related corporate lending reached approximately KRW 1.77 trillion, representing 4.89% of its total corporate loan portfolio. ESG household lending amounted to around KRW 1.37 trillion, accounting for 5.74% of its overall household loans. Examples of ESG lending products include:

(1) Preferential Green Loans for Environmentally Responsible Companies

iM Bank continues to expand customized financial support for companies involved in carbon neutrality, energy efficiency projects, and renewable energy initiatives. In February 2025, the bank signed a business agreement with the Korea Technology Finance Corporation to offer benefits such as reduced guarantee fees, higher guarantee limits and ratios, and simplified eligibility assessments for borrowers of the “K-Taxonomy Linked Support Loan” and “Carbon Neutrality Management Support Loan.” Additionally, the bank entered into an agreement with the Korea Credit Guarantee Fund to strengthen its green loan classification framework. As a result, by the end of 2024, iM Bank had achieved a total of KRW 198.3 billion in green lending, including KRW 700 million under the K-Taxonomy Linked Support Loan, KRW 700 million under the Carbon Neutrality Management Support Loan, and KRW 196.9 billion under the ESG Grow-Up Special Loan.

(2) Inclusive Finance Loan Products

iM Financial Group provides inclusive finance products designed to promote fair access to financial services for a diverse range of groups, including microbusiness owners, SMEs, low-income individuals, residents in underserved areas, women, youth, seniors, foreigners, and persons with disabilities. Through offerings such as the “New Hope Loan” and “Sunshine Bank Loan,” iM Bank has extended a total of KRW 662.9 billion in support to financially vulnerable customers, easing their financial burdens by reducing interest rates and waiving early-repayment fees. In the corporate lending sector, the bank also assists SMEs and microbusinesses by alleviating financial constraints through initiatives like the “Low-interest Facility Loan Conversion” and “Special Loans for Small Businesses,” ensuring they maintain stable access to funding.

The progress of the K-Taxonomy implementation is as follows. In 2022, iM Financial Group entered into a business agreement with the Financial Supervisory Service, and in 2023, jointly developed a practical application system for the Korean Green Taxonomy. Utilizing this system, iM Bank commenced green loan screenings in April 2024 through its internally developed platform, while also overseeing the classification of general loan products. The screening outcomes are systematically documented and analysed via a control process that supports digital registration and document scanning, facilitating the development of green finance products and the provision of related services.

Hua Xia Bank identifies stakeholders relevant to impact analysis and target-setting processes every year. In 2024, the bank identified eight key stakeholder groups, including government agencies and regulators, with whom Hua Xia Bank maintains regular consultations, communications, and collaborative engagements. The bank attaches great importance to stakeholder concerns and continuously identifies, assesses, screens, and updates material issues. By assessing the issue materiality to both the bank’s sustainability and the stakeholders, Hua Xia Bank ranks and eventually identifies issues that are material to both the bank and its stakeholders, subsequently implementing responsive measures.

Government and regulators

For engagement with government, regulators, and professional institutions: Hua Xia Bank actively responds to policy requirements from the State Council, NDRC, MEE, NFRA, and PBoC, while researching support measures for implementing regional carbon peaking and carbon neutrality plans across provinces and municipalities.

Regarding participation in regulator-led cooperative research: Hua Xia Bank joined the Climate Risk Management Task Force under NFRA to develop stress testing frameworks for banking transition risks; participated as an evaluation committee member in the 2023 Green Banking Assessment organized by the China Banking Association under the coordination of NFRA’s Policy Research Bureau; contributed to the PBoC’s Transition Finance Research Group; engaged in the Beijing-Qinghai Expert Assistance Program to provide targeted financial support for Qinghai Province, delivering green finance knowledge-sharing sessions for local financial institutions; and participated in developing group standards for energy transition financing entity assessment methodologies led by the China Energy Research Society.

In strengthened collaboration in inclusive finance with relevant government agencies: Hua Xia Bank fully implements the coordination mechanism requirements on financing support for micro and small enterprises, establishing a three-level (headquarters – branch – sub-branch) rapid response system. All branches maintain close coordination with local regulators, development and reform commissions, and other relevant authorities to promptly obtain the “list” and expedite credit disbursement in accordance with market-oriented principles, legal compliance, and credit approval requirements, thereby ensuring the enterprises can directly and efficiently gain access to credit funds with appropriate interest rates.

In implementing the NDRC’s directives, Hua Xia Bank promptly circulates the recommended enterprise list under the “Xinyidai” (Credit Easy Loan) program, proactively engages in marketing outreach, and establishes regular feedback mechanisms. The bank applies to the SME Bureau of MIIT for regular updates on the list of SDRI enterprises nationwide to continuously support their transformation and upgrading. Furthermore, Hua Xia Bank shares information with the NDRC’s National SME Financing Credit Service Platform to enhance credit information sharing and adoption and facilitate SME financing access.

Engagements and Events

Under the guidance of the Party Working Committee and the Administrative Committee of Beijing Municipal Administrative Center and the Tongzhou District Party Committee and Government, the bank participated in the 5th Beijing Municipal Administrative Center Green Development Forum and independently hosted the parallel session on green finance. The President of Hua Xia Bank delivered a keynote speech titled “Green Finance Facilitating Socioeconomic Green and Low- Carbon Development,” sharing the bank’s innovative practices in enhancing mechanism improvement, product innovation, international cooperation, and ESG & climate risk management, while proposing insights and recommendations on how finance can support green and low-carbon development.

Guided by Tongzhou District Government, Hua Xia Wealth Management Co., Ltd. jointly organized the 2024 Global Wealth Management Forum & 6th ESG Investing Forum for Asset Management in China with leading domestic media outlet Caijing, fostering discussions on new prospects for green investment.

Domestic honours

The “Hua Xia Inclusive Express” product series was awarded the “2024 Excellence Financial Service Cases for Small and Medium-Sized Commercial and Circulation Enterprises in China” by the China Association for Small and Medium Commercial Enterprises.

Hua Xia Bank also received the “2024 Best Practices in Sustainable Development for Listed Companies” and “Best Practices of Board of Directors’ Office Award” from the China Association for Public Companies, as well as the “Top 20 Banks in Comprehensive ESG Performance” and “Exemplary Case in Risk Prevention and Control” awards from China Banking and Insurance Media Company Limited.

The Government Savings Bank (GSB) highly values maintaining strong relationships with its stakeholders, recognizing all groups that influence or are affected by the bank’s activities—both positively and negatively. The bank emphasizes creating opportunities for key stakeholders to share their opinions, suggestions, and feedback, ensuring that the needs, expectations, and concerns of all parties are acknowledged equally. Annually, GSB conducts interviews and meetings with relevant units to gather this information. The insights gained are then utilized to guide strategic planning, operational decisions, and development initiatives, helping the bank build a competitive edge and achieve sustainable growth.

Stakeholder Identification and Management

GSB has adopted the international AA1000 Stakeholder Engagement Standard (AA1000SES) as a framework for effective stakeholder management. Additionally, it follows the Stakeholder and Customer Management (SCM) criteria based on the Core Business Enablers assessment within the State Enterprise Assessment Model (SE-AM). This systematic approach promotes stakeholder engagement across relevant business units. The process involves analyzing the value chain and prioritizing key stakeholders based on their involvement in GSB’s plans, projects, and processes. This is carried out at both departmental and regional levels to identify and focus on the most critical stakeholders for the entire organization. The Power-Interest Matrix is used to evaluate stakeholders according to their influence and interest in GSB’s operations, enabling the bank to prioritize engagement strategies accordingly.

GSB classifies stakeholders into six groups based on their involvement in GSB’s core missions and processes:

Regulatory bodies and government agencies

Partners and suppliers

Society and key communities

Customers, divided into three segments: grassroots, individual, and business/government clients

Media organizations

The Board of Directors, executives, employees, and workers

Stakeholder Consultation and Engagement

GSB has established a governance framework for stakeholder management, including the Stakeholder Engagement Policy, Stakeholder Engagement Procedure Manual, and a Stakeholder Master Plan for 2024–2028. This framework provides guidelines for developing high-quality and standardized stakeholder relationships and management practices. The master plan is shared with key stakeholders both within and outside the bank. The framework undergoes an annual review to address current issues and ensure alignment with the needs and expectations of all stakeholder groups. The bank ensures effective mechanisms and processes for stakeholder engagement by setting clear objectives and defining the scope of relationship-building and management activities, based on the goals of stakeholder relationships and the desired outcomes GSB aims to achieve.

Issues Addressed and Outcomes Achieved

Through stakeholder engagement, GSB tackled several key areas, aligning its efforts with the expectations and concerns identified within each stakeholder group. Regulatory authorities and government agencies prioritized compliance with laws, operational transparency, and financial inclusion, particularly for grassroots customers. Partners and suppliers emphasized collaboration in developing products and services, enhancing data connectivity, and maintaining good governance practices. Society and communities sought initiatives to promote financial literacy, build capacity, and improve citizens’ quality of life. Customers looked for support in accessing financial resources and receiving guidance in financial management.

These engagements resulted in tangible achievements. For instance, regulatory bodies’ focus on compliance and transparency contributed to GSB receiving the Integrity and Transparency Assessment (ITA) Award, reflecting its dedication to openness and accountability. Business partners’ emphasis on joint product and service development helped expand the customer base and improve data connectivity, leading to increased access to financial resources. This is exemplified by the approval of 1,537 land/mortgage sales totaling THB 5,457 million and 913,366 vehicle registration loans totaling THB 21,776 million.

Meeting community and customer needs for financial literacy and improved quality of life led to the establishment of six new People’s Financial Institutions, bringing the total to 15—surpassing GSB’s target. GSB’s comprehensive community development initiatives benefited 11,598 individuals, exceeding the goal of 5,000. Digital programs such as the School Bank at 101 locations and the Coach Aom app with 19,447 users promoted savings and financial literacy. Additionally, GSB supported 14.8 million grassroots customers in line with government policies, served 9 million individual customers, and assisted 0.1 million business and government clients.

In response to employee expectations for skill enhancement and career growth, GSB launched Future Skills Development programs, training 104 facilitators dedicated to community development and 70 business advisors for SMEs and startups. These efforts directly support GSB’s action plans by building internal capacity to fulfill its commitments to stakeholders and the Principles. Furthermore, GSB’s strengthened stakeholder management approach is positioned to maximize its positive social impact as a social bank, incorporating direct feedback from stakeholder groups to shape the bank’s future strategic direction.

How does GSB promote a culture of responsible banking among its employees?

In its 2024 PRB Responsible Banking Progress Statement GSB reports that it took the following actions to promote a culture of responsible banking among its employees:

GSB aligns with the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), with a particular emphasis on two key objectives: eliminating poverty (Goal 1: No Poverty) and reducing inequalities (Goal 10: Reduced Inequalities). The bank strives to achieve these aims by facilitating access to fair capital and working to diminish financial disparities. GSB has adopted the Principles for Responsible Banking (PRB) from the United Nations Environment Programme Finance Initiative (UNEP FI), committing to incorporate social, environmental, and governance considerations into its operations. This alignment supports GSB’s vision, mission, and operational framework as it aims to be a leading social bank. By signing the PRB, GSB affirms its dedication to international best practices in sustainable and responsible banking. The bank has established various policies to guide staff at all levels, ensuring departmental operations adhere to responsible banking principles. These policies cover diverse areas, including good corporate governance, a code of conduct, a code of ethics, a sustainability policy, and a human rights policy.

Beyond these core policies, GSB actively demonstrates its commitment to becoming a Social Bank through numerous ESG-related initiatives. These include providing educational programs for small business owners, participating in reforestation projects, and other similar efforts.

How does Globalance promote a culture of responsible banking among its employees?

In its 2024 PRB Responsible Banking Progress Statement Globalance reports that it took the following actions to promote a culture of responsible banking among its employees:

Globalance’s founders are actively involved on a daily basis, nurturing and reinforcing a mission-driven culture every day.

As a value-led and purpose-driven pure-play company, Globalance begins by selecting employees who are aligned with its core values.

The foundation of Globalance’s culture is the absence of short-term financial incentives. Instead, Globalance implements a long-term employee ownership program—every employee owns shares in the company through allocated employee shares, rather than cash payments. This approach helps align long-term perspectives and fosters team commitment. There are no sales targets.

The sustainable impact-culture is most effectively cultivated through investment decisions, each serving as proof of Globalance’s mission and professional standards.

Additionally, Globalance emphasizes the importance of ongoing development. An internal Globalance Academy has been established, providing every employee with opportunities for continuous learning and training.

How does Fidelity Bank promote a culture of responsible banking among its employees?

In its 2024 PRB Progress Report Fidelity Bank reports that it took the following actions to promote a culture of responsible banking among its employees:

Fidelity Bank is dedicated to fostering a culture of responsible banking throughout all levels of the organization. This commitment begins with training during induction for both new and experienced hires, where employees are introduced to the bank’s core values, ethics, and sustainability expectations. Fidelity Bank’s Crest Academy spearheads employee learning and development by providing structured training programs that incorporate sustainability and climate-related content.

Training needs are identified through performance evaluations and collaboration with line managers, while employees are also encouraged to request training aligned with their personal development goals. Sustainability and climate-focused modules are integrated into the overall curriculum, with the Crest Academy working closely with the Sustainable Banking team to ensure alignment with the bank’s strategic objectives.

Fidelity Bank delivers training via multiple channels, including its Electronic Learning Management System (ELMS), virtual sessions on Microsoft Teams, and instructor-led workshops. Knowledge retention is supported through self-paced modules, quizzes, and facilitated discussions where appropriate.

Beyond formal training, the Sustainable Banking team regularly disseminates communications on sustainability and climate issues to raise awareness across the bank, in partnership with the Brand and Communications Division.

Additionally, board members and senior management receive specialized training on sustainability and climate-related topics, including relevant reporting standards such as IFRS S1 and S2. Sustainability performance is integrated into Fidelity Bank’s appraisal processes and reflected in sustainability staff and executive incentive programs, with ongoing efforts to strengthen the connection between remuneration and ESG outcomes.

A core element of Eurobank’s sustainability approach is to build strong relationships founded on trust, cooperation, and mutual benefit with all stakeholders affected by its activities, whether directly or indirectly.

In this regard, the bank encourages two-way communication and maintains an ongoing dialogue with stakeholders to actively address their expectations, concerns, and issues. As part of its Double Materiality Assessment, Eurobank engaged stakeholders on topics related to its sustainability initiatives and responsible financing products, aligning with the Principles for Responsible Banking, to gather their insights on the bank’s sustainability performance. This assessment was a key process in determining the contents of the Annual Report 2024 – Business & Sustainability. Using the new methodology outlined in the European Sustainability Reporting Standards (2023), Eurobank identified, assessed, prioritized, and validated the positive and negative impacts, risks, and opportunities the bank creates or may create on the environment, people, and the economy.

Additionally, Eurobank conducts sustainability awareness training sessions to ensure internal stakeholders stay informed about sustainability matters.

How does Eurobank promote a culture of responsible banking among its employees?

In its 5th PRB Progress Statement Eurobank reports that it took the following actions to promote a culture of responsible banking among its employees:

Eurobank fosters a culture of sustainability by providing employees with the skills needed to assist clients in their green transition. Key initiatives include:

ESG upskilling programs for employees, focusing on risk management, compliance, and business strategy.

Training sessions for stakeholders across the three lines of defense to enhance sustainability awareness.

Ongoing sustainability education through e-learning modules, digital talks, and intranet resources, ensuring staff stay updated on the latest sustainability developments.

Acknowledging the significance of cultivating a robust sustainability-oriented culture throughout the bank, Eurobank has initiated programs such as:

The “TeamUp” employee volunteer program, which provides opportunities for employees and their families to engage in community-based environmental initiatives.

The “ESG Insight” newsletter, delivering regular updates on Eurobank’s sustainability efforts to both internal and external stakeholders.

By integrating solid governance, accountability measures, and a sustainability-focused corporate culture, Eurobank ensures that sustainability principles remain a strategic priority, empowering employees and stakeholders to contribute to a responsible banking model that promotes positive environmental and social impacts.
